The Debt Fantasy
Day in Day out I see smart people talk about the economy as if they have an educated opinion… And they do, in Fantasy Economics.
They read the newspapers, they watch the TV, they listen to the vomit coming out of their politician’s mouths, but you see dear readers, these outlets will never attempt to educate you, the tax payer, into the truth about money and debt.
That’s because if you knew the truth, you’d tell them one word: No.
Now this truth isn’t hidden in conspiracy or shadow. It’s all publicly acceptable knowledge, it’s basic fundamentals that should be taught in school.
We won’t go into the whole Central Bank system, Fiat Currency, or Fractional Reserve Banking systems right now, all of which are big massive cons that have raped the normal bloke on the street for hundreds of years, no, let’s focus on this current debt crisis we’re getting hammered with.
Now let me engage my Bullshitatron 3000, the BBC, CNN, Sky, all those guys use it so it will make sense to you:
So, our countries spend too much money, and we’re in debt to the banks for loaning money to pay for that.
Right, got that? Well, it’s true. We DO spend alot of money poorly, especially with contracts to private corporations, usually with shareholders in politics that make outrageous profits when they give government contracts to em, then there’s war, social systems, and of course paying for multinational groups we belong to but never voted for, such as the UN and the EU which soak up billions a year.
Now for the reality boot up your ass boys and girls:
All that wasted money, doesn’t come CLOSE to the debt that is currently destroying the nation, the Euro state, the US, well, everyone. All the benefit frauds and council mansions combined don’t come to 00.00.00.00.1% of the debt. That’s because the “debt” your politicians have signed you onto, and which your beloved news outlets will avoid even mentioning, isn’t anything that has ever existed, it has never produced a product, service, or commodity, it is, fantasy.
And because of your ignorance, your great great grandchildren will still be paying off this fantasy.
In fact all this “paying down the debt” talk, all these pushes for Austerity, are only designed to pay INTEREST on the debt, the actual debt is designed never to be paid back, in fact, paying it back is impossible, because it never existed outside of fantasy.
Now, this Debt Fantasy, what is it? Where did it come from?
The financial instruments that have been able to produce at the most conservative figure of over $600 TRILLION of debt (but many analysts believe is well into the Quadrillions) are a basket of speculative instruments that prior to the last 15 years or so, were illegal. Credit Default Swaps, Derivatives, no matter what name they give for these cancers, the basic low down can be summed up with the term “Gambling on Speculations”
The reason why you heard of the problem starting with the Housing bubble, was because housing was one of the most rampant markets that the above, previously illegal, instruments were being traded on.
Let’s look at Mortgage Reality works:
• Bill gets a mortgage for his £100,000 house. Bank “lends” Bill $100,000 to purchase house.
• Bill will pay back probably twice that amount, and if he doesn’t, bank takes the house, which has inherent value (in being real), and the system continues.
• Even if Bill and thousands of others failed to pay their bills, the banks would still not be in all that stress, as they still could hold that property for the sake of entering debt into a computer.
So what really happened?
Well, Bill would go to the bank, get his £100,000 mortgage, and then the Bank would go to their new Derivative markets, and say “Right, I have a debt here for Bill’s house, let’s speculate!” and the gambling would begin. That is, gambling on if Bill would default on his mortgage or not. If Bill DID default, the bank could expect to get as much as 3 MILLION for that £100,000 investment. They indeed, profited on the failure of their clients mortgage. (Kind of makes the whole giving out bad loans make sense now right?)
As if that wasn’t bad enough, the speculative debt would not end there. These failed mortgages and loans, with their uber inflated debts, would then get put into Debt Baskets, and traded and speculated on again, and again, and again, thus £100,000 of real collateral was the nucleolus for tens of millions of debt. None of it real, none of it ever being produced. These baskets of debts based on nothing, are traded constantly, tax free, and each time more and more “debt” is added. Kind of like a black hole.
So… Trillions upon Trillions of debt floating about between these banks, and once the housing market took a dip, the cashing in on derivatives went into overdrive.. only of course, there was never that money in existence, so it came down to it.. Who’s going to pay the money we’re owed from our gambling?
Now in a sane system, hell, a capitalist system, those banks who demanded money for their gambling, would have to get it from the other banks involved (who in turn wanted their money from the other), and the Government and TAX PAYER money, would have nothing to do with it.
But we’re NOT in a sane system, we’re far from being in a capitalist system. You see, our politicians made these illegal instruments legal in the first place, remember? And it was also their job, to sign us on to pay for this fantasy debt.
That’s how nations such as Iceland and Greece have become apparently the cause of bringing down an entire economic system… Not because these nations did jack squat, they simply had politicians bought and paid for by these institutions, and agreed to harbor all this toxic debt.
When the people of Iceland took it upon themselves to educate themselves into this debt, and discovered that 97% or more of it was all fantasy and nothing to do with the Icelandic people, they threw out their Bankster-owned Finance Minister, and demanded the debt be ignored.
Guess what?
The world didn’t end, for even a real collapse, that debt would have to have existed in something tangible in the first place. Telling the banksters to go swivel in regards to their speculation-dues, did nothing negative to the people.. Indeed, being free of such toxic waste debt has allowed the country to become extremely prosperous.
Unfortunately, the world bought into the media propaganda and spin, and didn’t bother to follow the Icelandic lead in educating themselves, and demanding fair action from their elected officials.
Nope, unfortunately, we’re still stuck with this bullshit fantasy debt, because people can’t take 30 minutes to read the facts, or even watch one of the many brilliant documentaries breaking down the scam.. No that would break into our footie or X Factor time, and it’s far easier to just be destitute for life, paying most of your money in taxes so that they can go directly to a bunch of criminal institutions who pulled off the greatest scam in history, with only a whimper of protest.
What a load of wank.
This is What Democracy Looks Like
Today a couple of friends and I attended “Occupy Brisbane” – an extension of the Occupy Wall St movement. I was expecting a small crowd of hippies (as the movement has been portrayed by the media) but it was nothing like that. Most of the protesters were average Aussies who were fed up with being ignored. We may have been divided in race, age, socio-economic status, religion and political beliefs, but collectively we screamed at the banks surrounding us to give them an idea of what democracy looks like.
Were we laughed at? Yes. But the mockery from outside spectators was met with cheerfulness and middle fingers. One man went so far as to intensely abuse one of the speakers, and we responded with the Occupy Wall St chant of “love, unity, respect”.
During the open discussion I felt the need to speak of the unlawful detainment of Bradley Manning, fully expecting people to ask “who the hell is that guy?”. But everyone knew who he was, and had offered to or already signed the petition for his release. In fact, I even found a “Free Bradley Manning” badge for sale. It sort of gave me hope that even though the majority of people don’t give a shit about freedom of information, some do, and he will not be forgotten indolently.
Sean (on the right) was born in Portland, Oregon and lived in America for the first 16 years of his life. Last year he moved to Australia, not for the beaches, but for a (relatively) cheap University Education. He says that if he had stayed in the U.S. he wouldn’t have the opportunity for further education, and the economic conditions were terrible. On the train returning from Brisbane Sean said that he was incredibly moved by the events at Wall Street, and was glad he could be a part of it somehow.
Among our friendship group at school we were mocked for attending the “Occupy Brisbane” event, probably because it’s not considered cool to be passionate about the world you live in. Our generation, and the entire world suffers from don’t-give-a-shit-syndrome. I think we all need to get off our asses and do something – even if its just waving around a sign at a local protest. Because who knows, maybe exercising our right to freedom of speech could save the world one day?
Occupy Wallstreet, End Capitalism!!
Oh wait, before we end it, maybe we should try it first?
I keep seeing all these anti-capitalist signs at these Occupy Wallstreet type things… but we’re not free market in any way and haven’t been for at least a hundred years.
Capitalism isn’t a system where corporations and government work hand in hand to crush all markets. Capitalism cannot exist with a private central bank who can control the wealth of currency on a whim. Capitalism can’t exist without private property, and we certainly don’t have private property. One could also argue that income tax fundamentally removes any notion of Capitalism.
Nope, we are living in CORPORATISM, which is a fascist system.
We are being steered into accepting (and begging for) Socialism, which sounds nice, except it’s a fantasy. So we are blaming one fantasy (a capitalist system when we don’t live in one) and begging for another fantasy, Socialism, where everyone gets fed, housed, free medical, and teddybears. Socialism, where the government’s sole purpose is to make you happy and give you plenty of hugs. Socialism, where you don’t have any rights, because they would stifle the will of the Grand Soviet, and cause Global Warming (hey why not).
Socialism is there to sell people into living under complete control from government, who ALWAYS works hand in hand with the Corporate, they just don’t need to GET you to buy their shit, you are MANDATED to buy it by your super soviet.
That’s why government shuts down all small business and feeds the mega corporate, that is SOCIALISM. The state decides WHO can do business with it’s farm animals, sorry, people, and they choose the mega-corporate because they feed the politicians’ greed.
Here’s a clue people, when armed SWAT squads are knocking down the doors of small farm stores because they’re selling fresh produce, while letting Monsantos destroy the entire ecosystem with it’s GMO and toxic waste pesticides, that means you’re NOT CAPITALIST. When Monsanto’s and other mega-corps shut down free market food producers who proudly state their food is GMO free, and the government makes such honest labeling ILLEGAL, that’s NOT CAPITALIST.
Gaddafi was socialist, but he was also a nationalist, so in that case, it was slightly beneficial to the people, because he gave back to the people and state to empower them and strengthen the nation. Was Gaddafi a saint? Nope, but at least his will to control his nation meant that the wealth trickled back to the people and that’s why his nation was the jewel of Africa (now it’ll be another raped dead whore lying in the gutter just as Iraq has become).
WE don’t have a nation, we are run by GLOBALISTS, who do not require a single nation to have personal strength and individual freedoms, so we get the big black boot to the skull. In OUR system, our leaders (Politicians under Corporations under the Banking Cartel), care not of national borders… for they will soon be in control of ALL of them, any “threat” to them presented to us is controlled opposition to feed the Military Industrial Complex (such as terrorism). Their only TRUE enemy, is knowledge and exposure. Their only weakness is that they have to operate in the darkness because their deeds exposed to the light will undo them.
Luckily, we like our blinkers. We don’t go looking behind the curtain to see who’s steering our given ‘ISM’ (Socialism, Capitalism, Communism, whateverism), like voting in a different puppet, we are happy to just change the kitty litter for a different brand every few years, and not look to the cat that’s doing the big shits on our heads.
911 Explosive Evidence – Experts Speak Out – Full Movie
Anyone who believes the official narrative after watching the dozens of top experts in their field that break down all the evidence in this film, is a moron.
How to actually support your troops (and police)
One of the most common negative reactions I have to deal with in being outspoken about corruption and abuse of power, is from those who support the armed forces and police.
This is because of a very basic and unreasonable assumption that criticism of war or policy is somehow an attack on the military or police themselves.
It is also a reaction of pure ignorance, on what both institutions (and government itself) are all about.
So let me try to break it down for you. I urge those of you who jump in defense of your troops, police or government to take 5 minutes to read this and understand the basic principles of what I am saying.
The job of the Military and Police, is to do in a full time capacity, what every single member of our nation has the lawful right to do. That is, to serve and protect each other, and the land on which we inhabit.
Each and every man and woman of this land, has the lawful right and duty, to protect one another from harm and loss, and to defend this land, from outside threats that may do the same.
The reason we have a Military or Police, is because in reality, it makes sense to have a section of the population to work to these ends on a full time basis. The time restraints of growing food, producing product, providing a service for the community etc, takes all of our time, and so we created these sectors to do that part of the work for us.
Anyone has the right to farm (well, SHOULD have the right) and provide food for themselves or their community, everyone has the right to police their neighborhood and protect their property.
So, we trained, armed and lawfully entitled systems to do OUR jobs (the same way others in our society provide us with food, clothing, etc). Essentially, we are all the police, we are all the militia.
All good? Right, glad we’re on the same page.
Now where I get criticism is because through ignorance and media programming, people have the perception, that when I am doing My job, as a citizen of this land, in pointing out unlawful, corrupt policy, I am somehow attacking the good men and women of the police and military.
This cannot be further from the truth. You see, we are ALL the employers of these systems of police and defense. It is our RESPONSIBILITY to ensure that they are used in a lawful capacity for the security of the entire nation.
A soldier does not have much of a right to deny orders from his superiors. When they are told to go to a far away land and shoot at people, or to drop bombs on them, they are limited in their capacity to do anything but follow their orders. It is the public who is responsible for making sure that we only put our forces in harms way when utterly required to.
Essentially, where the Military serviceman cannot refuse, it is us who should be making that call on their behalf.
However, the public has given up it’s responsibility to our forces and police over the past decades. We have grown lazy and negligent of this responsibility and handed it off to Politicians and Corporations, who have a vested interest not in safety and prosperity for our nation, but in the wealth, greed and power of their own interests and society.
We do not support our troops by shedding off Our Responsibility to ensure their lives are only put in danger when our land is under immediate threat. We do not support our police by turning a blind eye to every corrupt order handed down to them. We support our forces by making sure that their oaths are protected, and that they are asked to do only what any one of us as sovereign men and women of this land would be willing to do oursleves.
The Police, are most like the everyday members of public in their lawful abilities and rights. They are also as likely as any other member of the public to have corrupt elements. Ignoring this corruption, or abuses of their power, does not strengthen the integrity of the Police. It does not do any favours to the thousands of honest, lawful and caring members of the Police when we simply accept wrongdoing simply because of a uniform.
We do not support the police by putting up with the falsification of evidence, we do not support our police by ignoring members of the force who come forward with evidence of corruption. Over the years brave police have put their careers on the line to expose drug running, false arrest and corruption, only to be let down by their superiors, and most importantly, their bosses, we the people, in our willful ignorance of our responsibilities.
I love my friends and family who work in the military and in the police services, and that is why I am so critical of the abuses carried out in their name. These abuses not only tarnish their name and loses trust in the institutions, but it also puts their lives at risk.
Stop shedding your responsibility. You do not support our men and women in service by waving a flag or shedding a tear. You support them by protecting their (and your own) interests as sovereign beings of this land, and ensuring that corporations and politicians do not have the majority of say in how these services are used.
Green Fascism: Gibson Guitar Raided
Gibson Guitar gets to experience the Green Nazi movement we’ve allowed to run rampant.
Despite sourcing wood for it’s legendary product in a responsible, sustainable method, they are getting the Green Nazi treatment.
You see, it’s not actually about the environment… Time to grow up and smell the fascism.
–
If you are the lucky owner of a 1920s Martin guitar, it may well be made, in part, of Brazilian rosewood. Cross an international border with an instrument made of that now-restricted wood, and you better have correct and complete documentation proving the age of the instrument. Otherwise, you could lose it to a zealous customs agent
“there’s a lot of anxiety, and it’s well justified.” Once upon a time, he would have taken one of his vintage guitars on his travels. Now, “I don’t go out of the country with a wooden guitar.”
Goodbye Steve (Shame you didn’t set Apple on a positive track before you left)
I have been an Apple supporter since the 90s, when the company was on the verge of collapse and I would be mocked for using them.
Back then, it was Apple vs The Man, Apple then became the Man, failed, and with Jobs’ return, seemed to go back to it’s roots…
But over the past few years I have became less and less interested in the company.. Yes, their product quality got poorer and poorer the more it outsourced to the third world slave camps for production, yes the software became less innovative as it tied into the grids that spider the world such as Microsoft and Google, but was there something more to my lack of interest in a company I was once so passionate about?
Apple has had a fairly large amount of dodgy business practice over the past 5 or 6 years… Yes, they always passionately protected their intellectual property, and yes Steve Jobs did tend to explode, often needlessly, in anger over menial things, but this wasn’t it… This wasn’t about corporate identity, or the passion of a visionary.. This was about screwing your own country by shipping production of your product to China, where the working conditions are so dire, that suicides at plants such as Foxcon are commonplace.
Surely for Jobs, who always at least claimed and appeared to believe, in the teachings of Buddha and Karma, one would think that he would push for slightly lower profits (read, paper), in return for good karma that children or slaves weren’t making and dying for the product.
But, I still have hope for Steve, despite the fact that Apple is now, part of Big Brother by almost every yardstick… Perhaps he fought against Apple’s “bad karma” moves over the past few years, and is now suffering for it? I don’t know… but I’d like to think that was the case.
The Lucky Country
Welcome to Australia – The Lucky Country. We drink cold beer, play a shittier version of football, ship asylum seekers to Malaysia, drink more cold beer and live a bloody good life. Oh – and we’re taxed on chemical compounds!
Our ginger ninja Prime-Minister has decided that we’re going to save the planet by putting a “price” on Carbon emissions.
Last week I received a little propaganda pamphlet in the mail from the government explaining: “What a Carbon Price Means for You”. It was an impressive 18 pages of “informative” government funded articles about Australia’s “devastating” Carbon emissions and why we’re such a shit country for not “following Europe’s example” in establishing a Carbon Tax.
But wait….Julia Gillard announced ONE WEEK before federal elections last year that “There will be no carbon tax under the government I lead”. They even caught it on video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KMVc0IbtyAQ
Awkward.
Well Julia, there’s something I’d like to say to you. Get the fuck out of our lives and give us back our dignity. We deserve better than politicians who change their minds like memory impaired goldfish the second they’re voted into office. We deserve better than government funded pamphlets filled with lies and false promises that families won’t suffer as a direct result of your leadership. We deserve better than an education system that denies individual freedom of thought and indoctrinates scientific theories that suit your government policies.
We deserve better than a Carbon Tax.
